Recent visitors to The Trad Pad came to visit the elder tree in the front garden.
These were the tree trimmers...
trimming the branches that encroached on the power lines.
These guys were great, efficient and friendly.

Miss Eagle had been pruning herself in another part of the front garden.
They kindly took all her tree branches and prunings.

"Miss Eagle had been pruning herself..." the mind boggles, Miss E!!!
That was nice, you're still looking pretty green down under. Is it fall yet?
Jeanna we have had just enough rain to keep a green tinge. Australia is still the wide brown land, the driest continent on earth, and the southern part is still in the grip of the longest drought in living memory in spite of record flooding in northern Oz. Autumn has arrived - the best time of the year here in Melbourne. The trees haven't all changed colour yet but leaves are starting to fall. The weather is getting cooler - but interspersed with warm days.
Blessings and bliss
Gina, you ain't seen nothin' until you see me up a tree in the backyard in my nightie with the hacksaw and secateurs! Don't think the neighbours have noticed.
Blessings and bliss
they are the biggest orange-bellied galahs I have ever seen
